Step 1 · What do you want to encode?

Content is not saved

If you start with https://, the camera will offer to open the link. Free text, an address or a short phrase also works.

Step 2 · Size and colors

High contrast for easy readability

An inverted QR (light on dark) fails many readers. Keep the modules darker than the background and high contrast.

How to make a QR code

  1. Choose the type and fill in the data. The preview updates itself.
  2. Adjust the size: 512 px for web, 1024 px or SVG for print.
  3. Check the contrast: black on white is the safest.
  4. Download and try the QR with your mobile camera before publishing it.

PNG or SVG: which one to choose

The PNG is a bitmap image: convenient for the web, WhatsApp and social networks, but It can become pixelated if you enlarge it too much. The SVG is vector: it prints at any size without losing sharpness. For posters, vinyl or printing, use SVG or a 1024 px PNG as minimum.

Why the QR is not read

The most common causes are low contrast, too long content (more modules and less space between them), print it very small or cover the margins. always leave the range of 3–4 modules, use dark colors on a light background and test the result with two different mobile phones before taking it to print.

Privacy and limits

The content is written in your browser and is only sent to the server to draw the QR. It is not saved, it is not recorded and it is not shared with third parties. The limit is 1200 bytes (about 1200 ASCII characters) so that the code remains readable; a password WiFi or a normal link are more than enough. The server does not query the link or access it.

Frequently asked questions

Does the QR code expire?

No. It is a static image with the content inside: it does not depend on any service, so it works as long as the link or data is still valid. If you change the content, you have to generate and replace the QR.

Can I change the link without changing the QR?

Not with a static QR. For that you need an intermediate link (your own shortener) that you can redirect later. This tool generates static QR codes, without accounts or follow-up.

Does it work with the iPhone and Android camera?

Yes. Current iOS and Android cameras read QR natively. If the QR is very dense or has little contrast, bring the camera closer and try in good light.

Can I use my brand colors?

Yes, as long as the modules are darker than the background and the contrast is high. The tool warns and the server rejects combinations that cannot be scanned. For maximum compatibility, black and white.

Is my WiFi password saved?

No. The password is used to construct the QR content and is discarded upon return the image. Even so, remember that anyone who sees the QR can read the password: do not publish it outside the premises.
